Want a little bit more news regarding what is coming? Then take a look at the new This Is Us season 2 episode 15 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you right now:

02/06/2018 (09:00PM – 10:01PM) (Tuesday) : The history of the Pearsons as told through the life of the family car. TV-14

What’s the appeal of airing a new episode of This Is Us just two days after the big Super Bowl episode? One of the biggest reasons for that seems to be a means of ensuring that the show keeps the momentum that was established in the Super Bowl episode. Clearly, NBC is going to get huge ratings, but they have an opportunity to do something here that many other shows fail to do: Find a way to see if there is a way to actually capture some of the audience watching for the first time after the big game. Typically, what we see with some of these shows is they get huge ratings on the night and then never again.

As for the story itself, all indications look like this episode is going to actually span several years of history over the course of a single hour. That’s a little bit different from what we tend to get with this series, but we do like the metaphor of a car as representative for a huge chunk of someone’s life. Typically, you are a very different person at the time you get it as opposed to when you don’t have it anymore.

One more surprise

Dr. K is returning in this episode! Apparently, the doctor responsible for so many big moments in the Pearsons’ lives is still alive in the present.
