Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 15 video: Uncle Vito’s ‘Jersey humor’

Uncle Vito, played by Vincent Pastore, is the new face arriving on Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 15, and we’re starting to get the sense that Steve McGarrett has never met anyone quite like him! This is a guy who says what he wants whenever he wants, and that includes the sort of controversial stuff about “where the bodies are buried” that makes Steve raise an eyebrow.

It’s funny stuff, mostly because McGarrett’s not used to dealing with someone who has this enormous a personality. Also, he doesn’t quite get “Jersey humor.”

In the video below from Friday night’s new episode, you get what is a pretty good indicator of just what Steve and Danny are getting with Vito — including that he likes to oil up and get a good tan! They meet him down on the beach, at least temporarily before convincing him that what they need next is for him to take off with them over to start working on their restaurant. He’s almost the Kitchen Nightmares Gordon Ramsay of the series in that he’s someone who will be coming over to get the restaurant off the ground while also yelling at the two of them along the way.

Are they dysfunctional? Well, that feels like a nice way to put it. A more honest way would be to just say that the two guys are a complete and total hot mess. They’ve got a lot of work to do in order to get the entire operation together and we figure this will take a whole lot more than just one episode. If Uncle Vito gets them on the road to success, we figure that this will be considered a victory in itself. It’s really just all about building blocks at this point and taking a number of steps in the right direction. We’ve said it before and we’re sticking with it: Our hope is that by the end of Hawaii Five-0 this season there will start to be some opportunities to

No matter how this storyline ends, there is one word that we would still use to describe it: Fun. This episode looks like a hoot from start to finish and we feel like it’s going to be one that delivers everything that we could possibly want.
