Scandal season 7 episode 11 preview: ‘Army of One’ expectations
Given that this is a show that has lived and died today on some enormous twists, we definitely don’t envision that changing now that we’re so close to the series finale.
So why is the episode entitled this? We’re mostly just thinking in terms of how this could be Olivia on the warpath, trying to figure out what it is she wants to do and when she wants to do it. She’s got her own agenda and we wonder just how pleased she is going to be in the aftermath of the “intervention” tonight.
What’s going to happen?
In the promo after tonight’s new episode, it definitely seems as though Mellie is getting rid of Olivia once and for all, but that is far from the end to some of her problems. She’s also got another issue in that it seems like Quinn is going to be on the warpath, and is ready to take her down. Olivia has, without a doubt, made a ton of enemies over the course of this season — maybe the perception now is that this is a chance for some of those enemies to fight back.
Kerry Washington’s character made a gross miscalculation thinking that she was going to keep her job without any significant worry — that didn’t happen. She made enemies in Fitz and everyone else, and Mellie wasn’t as easy to budget as he probably thought she would be. That’s tough for Olivia as she does her best to formulate whatever her next move will be.
