Chicago Med season 3 episode 9 video: Awake during surgery

Philip Winchester

Is Chicago Med season 3 episode 9 new tonight on NBC? It would certainly be nice if it was!

Unfortunately, we come bearing some rather-sad news. Due to the State of the Union airing on NBC (let alone the majority of the other broadcast networks out there), there is no new episode coming on the air until next week. We hope that you stick with it, though, because when the series is back on the air it’s going to have one of the most interesting new episodes out there.

At the center of the story is going to be Malcolm McDowell, who is coming on board the series as a notable doctor who is in need of an operation. That’s not what makes his character unusual; instead, it’s the fact that he wants to watch the operation precisely as it happens. We imagine that having to operate on a high-powered doctor is not the easiest in the world for someone to do; it’s on another level when said doctor is watching your every move and/or correcting what you are doing along the way.

The good news? Dr. Rhodes does have a lot of experience in operating on a wide array of people. We’re just concerned that he may also be under an unimaginable level of stress in this siutation.

This episode of Chicago Med will be the last one before the series takes a couple of weeks off for the Winter Olympics. After that, there will be a run of episodes that airs straight through potentially from late February until close to the end of the season.

What do you want to see when it comes to Chicago Med season 3 episode 9? Do you think that this operation could end up going down in flames? Be sure to share some of your thoughts right now in the comments! We’ll have more news as the story continues.
