Law & Order: SVU season 19 episode 13: Is Barba, DA’s office in trouble?

When Law & Order: SVU season 19 episode 13 airs on NBC in just over a week, there’s going to be a cause for excitement. After all, Sam Waterston is returning! The iconic Law & Order actor, known for playing Jack McCoy on the original series, is going to play a big part in “The Undiscovered Country.” He finds himself mixed up in a case, and it’s one that will take on some pretty controversial subjects.

For some more news regarding what is coming, be sure to check out the official SVU season 19 episode 13 synopsis below via TVLine:

“When an infant goes missing, the SVU finds themselves taking sides in a family’s right-to-die court case. Meanwhile, Barba’s interference in the case puts the entire DA’s office in jeopardy.”

Obviously, getting Jack McCoy on the series is going to be what gets your foot in the door as a viewer — at least if you are not an SVU diehard already. What to worry about at this point is the status of Barba and the entire DA’s Office in general. If the office makes a mistake, is it possible that there are some harsh consequences ahead for many of them. To go beyond that, is there also a chance that someone could lose their job? We don’t want that, but we do have to recognize it as a definite possibility.

One other thing to remember…

At some point moving forward this season we are going to be seeing the arrival of Philip Winchester in the role of Peter Stone. Is he involved in this case or the aftermath of it? Both seem like definite possibilities to consider. We’re a fan of Winchester’s and of this character from Chicago Justice — we just hope that he’s coming on board as an extension of everything crazy that is happening with the DA’s Office and will mix things up with the entirety of the cast. Hopefully, there will be some more news on this subject in due time.

What do you want to see when it comes to Jack McCoy on Law & Order: SVU, and do you think there could be changes at the DA’s Office in this episode? Be sure to share now in the comments!
