Blue Bloods season 8 episode 14 video: Frank vs. the Governor

Blue Bloods season 8

Blue Bloods season 8 episode 14 is coming up on CBS Friday night, and we’ve got another indication now that we’re in for a fairly epic battle.

Want a little bit more insight? Then all you have to do is check out the new promo. It’s short, but it makes it clear precisely as to why Frank and the Governor are butting heads — and it’s over what transpired with some police officers. At this point, we’re admittedly rather used to seeing tension between Frank and other people in power. It’s something that Frank even references when he notes that he’s always had a problem with authority.

This time around, though, his stance against the Governor makes sense. If he feels like the state isn’t handling the aftermath of a police shooting, he’s going to speak out. His #1 job as commissioner is to look after the police department, and that includes trying to protect his officers. If the Governor isn’t doing enough, he’s going to fire back at them.

Really, what makes this story so interesting to us is that it offers up a chance to see two fantastic actors going toe to toe. In one corner, you’ve got Tom Selleck. Meanwhile, in the other you’ve got David Zayas of Dexter fame. They’re both commanding presences and they bring a lot to their roles. As a result of that, we absolutely to anticipate a pretty exciting hour here with a dramatic conclusion. Zayas is one of those actors we wouldn’t mind seeing on Blue Bloods more, even though we recognize that there is really only so much he can appear in a way that would make sense given that the character needs to spend a good bit of time up in Albany.
