Arrow season 6: Latest death revealed

Adrian Holmes leaving

Who departed Arrow on Thursday night’s new episode? While it may not have been a major character, it is someone who has been a part of the CW series ever since the first season.

(Obviously, spoilers ahead.)

The character who was killed off during Thursday night’s new episode was none other than Frank Pike, the police Captain who often was in conflict with the Arrow / the Green Arrow during the show’s run. He led the anti-vigilante task force, but recognized the Green Arrow’s value at times with helping the city.

Losing Frank Pike via electrocution was a bummer for many different reasons, starting with the fact that he never got the chance to put two and two together to realize that the Green Arrow and Oliver Queen were one in the same. Also, there’s a relative short supply of characters on Arrow who’ve been around since the first season and are still around now. You’re looking basically at Oliver, Felicity, Diggle, Thea, and Quentin. The new team is still reasonably recent, we didn’t know about William at the time, and of course the Laurel we have now isn’t the same Laurel we had way back when. We supposed that technically Slade Wilson and Walter Steele are also still around, but it doesn’t seem as though either one of them will be back in the near future.

Adrian Holmes played the character of Pike through the past six seasons, and we wonder if one of his biggest disappointments is not ending up as either Prometheus or Vigilante. Remember that time last year when there were rumors suggesting that he was one of them? The profile seemed to match at the time, especially since we knew that he was someone who was out to stop criminals and absolutely had a complicated history with Star City’s conflicted hero.
