Top Chef: Colorado Restaurant Wars is here; episode 8 preview

Are you ready for Top Chef: Colorado Restaurant Wars? It’s one of the most memorable episodes of the entire season, and it also happens to be one that CarterMatt has had a divided opinion on over time. Some of our favorite challenges over the years have come from this episode, as well as some of the most controversial eliminations. Often food is the most important priority, but if your service is terrible or your concept is bad, these factors can also sink you.

Judging from this sneak peek, it is clear that Fatima Ali is running the front of the house, which is one of the biggest challenges that there is. This is especially true when you also have a dish that other chefs are trying to execute. You have to run back and forth from one place to another to make sure that everything is going off without a hitch. Unfortunately, there is quickly at least one problem she runs into as one of the diners opts to send some food back.

For Restaurant Wars, it’s mostly a battle of endurance. The best chefs are the ones that tend to balance out helping others and helping themselves, while also coming up with a concept that makes sense for the restaurant. As bad as it sounds, they also need to understand that it’s okay sometimes to let someone sink their own ship. If someone has a terrible idea and they’re not budging on it, at a certain point you need to let it go and focus on making your own stuff great.

Ultimately, you don’t really have to overthink things here. Keep things fairly simple, cook from the heart, and don’t stress too much. If you can do those things, there’s a reasonable chance you will survive Restaurant Wars without a problem.
