The Fosters season 5 episode 13 preview: Mariana & Mat’s decision

If you thought that Mariana was going to continue to date multiple guys for a lengthy period of time, it’s possible that The Fosters season 5 episode 13 could prove you wrong. Over the course of this episode signs, at least at present, point towards the character figuring out more of her future with Mat. They’ve got a long history and he already made it clear to her that he’s not down of the whole idea of being a metaphorical contestant on her season of The Bachelor.

This episode is entitled “Third Wheel,” and the Fosters season 5 episode 13 synopsis below offers you up a little bit more insight regarding just what’s coming up next:

Brandon and Grace plan the ultimate senior prank which ends up going a little too far. Mariana and Mat make a huge decision about the future of their relationship.

Isn’t it nice to now see Brandon and Grace resurface on the show as a thing again? They were mostly MIA tonight, probably because the writers knew they were going to be revisiting them in a big way here. For Brandon, we think that a big part of his thinking at the moment is that he wants to make every single experience for Grace one of the greatest ones that he possibly can, knowing that she may be on borrowed time due to her cancer battle. Yet, some of these ideas may end up blowing up in his face. We tend to think of him as almost overcompensating for everything to the point where it gets himself, and in turn her, into some trouble. He’s gotta figure out a way to balance everything out, and that may not be easy for him given that he has always taken on a little bit too much.

Probably the toughest thing to wrap our head around, at least at the moment, is that there are only six (!) episodes left for the series. While we know that there is still that spin-off coming up in the future with Maia Mitchell and Cierra Ramirez, we’re also going to really miss the show in its present configuration. It won’t ever be the same again.
