Jackson and April (Japril) are your favorite Grey’s Anatomy ‘ship
Last week, we created an article with one question at the center of it: Which one of the many ‘ships there are out there about the show is your personal favorite? We focused mostly on current pairings, and we were excited/surprised to the response. That’s especially true when it comes to one pairing in particular.
The win for Jackson and April a.k.a. Japril here was pretty dominant, finishing with far more votes than the remainder of the ‘ships mentioned combined. What are the reasons for that? Much of it starts with just the passion for this pairing by the fans, which is based in turn on the writing and the performances of Jesse Williams and Sarah Drew. Beyond that, you’ve also got momentum from fans who want to see the two together and they aren’t anywhere close to that right now. That in turn probably spawns even more passion — there are certainly a number of reasons for Jackson and April to come back together, whether it be their history to the fact that the two are parents. Yet, there are also some communication issues and priorities that they need to work out. They have to find themselves in a place where they can have these conversations while also realizing that they are different people than they were years ago; they have to find a reason in which to think that the two of them getting back together is a risk worth taking.
We’ll see what happens for the two characters on Grey’s Anatomy moving forward, but for now all the congratulations in the world to all of the Japril fans for voting!
