Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 10 preview: How does Jo move forward?

Grey's Anatomy season 14 episode 10

Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 10 is entitled “Personal Jesus,” and we can go ahead and tell you that this is a story that is going to directly continue in some ways what transpires tonight. Matthew Morrison is still going to be a part of the series as Jo’s abusive husband Paul, and we will get hopefully a better sense as to whether or not she can really find some of the happiness that she seeks.

Beyond just that, Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 11 will feature some more interesting case-of-the-week plots and one of the biggest Sarah Drew storylines in a rather long time. There is a good bit going on, and you can read up on that just by seeing the attached synopsis:

A young boy is admitted to Grey Sloan Memorial and his case has a profound impact on the doctors. Meanwhile, April is faced with a surprising patient and Jo continues to deal with her estranged husband.

We haven’t gotten a sense that the presence of Paul is going to last for the entire season, so we hope that it’s going to be tied up over the course of the next couple of episodes — if for no other reason than that we want Jo to be happy. She and Alex haven’t really had that many opportunities in order to have a real, functional relationship. More often than not, these two characters are constantly inundated by some other problems, whether it be what happened with DeLuca and Alex or now the presence of Paul in her lives. Beyond just any relationship, Jo doesn’t deserve the horrific treatment that she’s received. Nobody should have to live in fear that something this terrible could end up happening to them. It’s too much and it’s far too sad of a thought.

Granted, the status of Paul in the hospital now after being struck in a hit and run adds clouds EVERYWHERE.
