Shameless season 8 episode 11 video: Frank tries ‘retirement’
In the new sneak peek below from this weekend’s episode, you can get a good sense as to what’s coming and how Frank is desperately going to try to collect some benefits. The problem with him doing so, however, is pretty clear: He actually hasn’t worked all that much in his life, so getting some sort of actual benefit and support is not going to be easy for him. (Basically, he’s only entitled to slightly more than $3 a month, and we’re honestly surprised that it’s that much.)
The part of this preview that is actually funnier than Frank finding out his real benefit total is seeing how he tries to use fake information at first to cash in. In one instance, he tries to use the identity of someone already collecting; in another case, he tries to use the ID of someone who is actually dead. We’re not entirely sure why Frank thought that this was going to work for him at all, but he’s Frank. This is not a guy who is altogether exceptional when it comes to thinking things through.

One way or another, we imagine that Frank is going to find a way to get to the other side of this, mostly because that’s just what he does. He’s like a snake in some ways that manages to slither out of whatever bind he gets himself into and we’ve got a good feeling that he probably will end up doing the same thing here.
