Wynonna Earp season 3 premiere title revealed — filming begins

Wynonna Earp season 3 premiere title

There’s great news out there across the internet today — Wynonna Earp season 3 is officially in production! One of the images below (via Tim Rozon’s Instagram) is proof of that, but CarterMatt has even more great news beyond just that. We’ve also got the title for the season 3 premiere!

In a new post on Twitter, Varun Saranga revealed that the title for the first episode, (written by showrunner Emily Andras) is “Blood Red and Going Down.” That’s an interesting title, no? First and foremost, we love the outlaw feel that this Wynonna Earl episode title has — they combine the sensibility of the traditional Western with some modern-day imagery. There’s something violent about it courtesy of the “blood red” line, but there’s also something a little bit deeper present here, as well. There’s a danger and a fear that is exciting and different; it raises our level of anticipation for the new season to another level, which is precisely what we would want from the show at this point in it’s run.

Wynonna Earp season 3 production is going to continue in the Calgary area in the coming months. There is no firm premiere date just yet, but it’s fair to say that the series will be coming your way in 2018. Hopefully, the start of filming also means that we get some casting news and other insight on what’s coming up soon. As of right now, clearly the casting du jour is finding out who is going to be playing Wynonna’s mother, something that was teased back at the end of the second season. Meeting her is going to offer us a chance to learn so much more about the Earp family as a whole.
