The Bachelor preview: Bibiana Julian’s telescope trouble; GLOW tribute

Bibiana Julian

Want a few Bachelor teasers for Monday’s new episode? There’s going to be some fun … and then there’s also going to be some major telescope trouble for Bibiana Julian as, for the second straight week, she struggles to connect with Arie Luyendyk Jr.

Let’s start for now with what should be one of the more entertaining parts of the episode, at least from a humor perspective — apparently, the show is going to present a spoof of GLOW, which was in turn inspired by the real-life wrestling organization. The women are going to be put through their paces for a wrestling-themed date, one that also features an appearance from Kenny King from this past season of The Bachelorette. Check out some more teases via the ABC synopsis below:

Ursula “Babe the Farmer’s Daughter” Hayden and Angelina “Little Egypt” Altishin, two legends from   the women’s wrestling federation GLOW, teach eight women the killer moves and over-the-top theatricality they will need to succeed. However, a few of the bachelorettes are upset by the aggressive nature of Ursula and Angelina’s wrestling personas. Each of the women are assigned their own wrestling personalities, using wildly imaginative costumes and makeup. Arie starts the show facing off against Kenny King, but will he emerge victorious? Then it’s the bachelorettes’ turn to challenge one another in the Gorgeous Ladies of the Bachelor (GLOB) tournament. The excited stadium crowd witnesses one woman stake her claim to the GLOB World Champion belt. At the after party, some ladies make strides in their connections with Arie, while others simply fall flat.

We’ll go ahead and tell you how much of this is going to go: Kenny will probably cream Arie while most of the women will be terrible. It’s not easy to just go out and wrestle with zero prior training for it. Why in the world would it be? Wrestling is so much harder than it appeared to be on the surface.

Now, let’s move forward to Bibiana and the super-awkward situation that she’s coming up against.

In the new sneak peek below via Entertainment Weekly, you can see her doing just about everything that she can in order to ensure that she and Arie have some special time star-gazing and enjoying one another’s company … only for Arie to see this and bring another woman over. We feel super-bad about this for Bibiana’s sake — given that producers could’ve easy steered Arie somewhere else before getting alone time with Bibiana, why didn’t they?
