Ratings: Latest Last Man on Earth, Madam Secretary, Wisdom of the Crowd renewal odds

Want to see the latest Wisdom of the Crowd finale ratings, plus also the performance of both Madam Secretary and The Last Man on Earth? We’ve got all of these coming up for you within this article!

Wisdom of the Crowd – Let’s begin with the CBS 8:00 p.m. drama, which is the least likely of the three mentioned to come back for another season. Wisdom of the Crowd drew in total a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which is right in line with many of its recent performances. Like we wrote on this subject recently, this show would be getting a little bit more attention presumably for a second season if it aired at a timeslot with lower expectations … maybe. We do still think in part that the Jeremy Piven allegations were enough for CBS to distance themselves from this for good — they were going to let it wrap and then quietly shove it away. It hasn’t been officially canceled, but not extending the 13-episode order is a pretty good sign that last night’s new episode was the end.

Madam Secretary – Meanwhile, the Tea Leoni series also posted a 0.7 rating — but because it airs at 10:00 and doesn’t have some of that controversy around it, it’s got a much higher chance of sticking around that Wisdom of the Crowd ultimately does. To go along with that, it also already has a syndication deal. As it enters a hiatus for the next couple of months, there really isn’t all that much to worry about here.

The Last Man on Earth – Finally, we close with the Will Forte series, which posted a 1.3 rating last night in the preliminary numbers — if this stays, it could mark the best rating of the entire season. Not bad, given that the NFL pushed the show’s start time back. While it’s not a slam-dunk for renewal, it’s performed so consistently well to season 3 that we do think another batch of episodes is coming.
