Outlander season 4 scene, featuring Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, premieres
So what took place during this Outlander season 4 scene? We anticipated that we would get a chance to see some of our main characters in it, and of course Starz did not disappoint. The scene is a version of what is pictured above, with Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) traveling via carriage. They are stopped by the British, and they quickly found themselves interrogated after that.
What’s surprising is that Claire and Jamie told the British that they were carrying a corpse … and that certainly tested their persuasion skills to ensure that they did not give up too much information. They were at the mercy of these men to let them go, and Jamie found himself potentially having to go on the offensive in order to keep their corpse safe.
Yet, was this corpse really a corpse at all? That’s one of the big questions we had judging from the reaction that Jamie and Claire made to the British wanting to cut at the corpse to make sure that in fact this person is dead.

So … was it? Did the British kill whoever Jamie and Claire were traveling with? The scene ends before we found out. Obviously, there are book readers out there who may be a little bit more familiar with this scene than we are from an outsider perspective, but what it shows us is twofold.
1. Even though they are out of Scotland, Jamie and Claire still are finding themselves in survival mode.
2. They are also still being targeted, one way or another, by the British.
Visually this was an extremely well-done scene, and it gives us a vibe that is both similar and different.
Overall, let’s just say that our hype is real for the Outlander season 4 premiere, even if we’re very much aware that we will be waiting a long time still in order to see it.
