Bring It Back 2018: Should SWAT, SEAL Team, The Brave, Criminal Minds, or Lethal Weapon be saved?

Bring it Back 2018

Do you want to see some of your favorite shows stay on the air in 2018? Identifying and campaigning for some of them is what our CarterMatt Bring It Back series is all about!

Over the course of the next few days we are going to bring forward some shows that, for one reason or another, are on the bubble of keep it or cancel it. We’ll present you shows in four groups of five, and then have you vote for the one you think deserves another season. The show with the most votes will move on to a final four showdown next week, where the winner will get the title of Bring It Back Champion. The whole focus of this article series is to try and generate positive publicity and buzz for shows that clearly deserve a lot more attention then they’ve been getting. If we can convince a network to “Bring It Back” when it comes to a readers’ favorite show then our work here is done.

Take a look below at the five shows featured today. Voting is open starting now until Thursday, January 18 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern time (1:00 p.m. Pacific). That’s when the final four showdown will take place. If you cannot see the poll for some reason and you are on mobile, be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page and click to view the non-AMP version.

The five shows that are featured today are SWAT, SEAL Team, The Brave, Criminal Minds, or Lethal Weapon.

SWAT – The Shemar Moore series started off on a high note, and the ratings have been good enough for it to score a full season. Yet, the numbers haven’t been so incredible that another season is guaranteed at CBS.

SEAL Team – The David Boreanaz series is in a similar position. While a season 2 renewal feels like is should happen, sometimes it’s hard to know what CBS wants to do with their lineup. They’ve surprised us over the years with some of their choices.

The Brave – The military drama struggled mightily on Monday night and, unlike the other two shows mentioned, doesn’t have anything more than the standard 13 episodes. It’s definitely in some danger, but Timeless proves that there’s always a chance for shows even if they are facing cancellation danger.

Criminal Minds – Could the long-running show really end? We’re optimistic about a season 14, but with lower ratings in a new time-slot, it’s not a show that we want to take for granted right now. We want it to have a final season where it does get a chance to end on its own terms after so many years on the air.

Lethal Weapon – In its own new time-slot this season the Fox show is down significantly in the 18-49 demographic. Yet, it also has some of the most-loyal fans out there. We hope it has another run to air some great stories — and eventually get into syndication. That could guarantee Clayne Crawford and Damon Wayans many more years on TV.
