Chicago Med season 3 episode 6 video: Could a patient cause Dr. Reese’s spiral?

Philip Winchester

Chicago Med season 3 episode 6 is airing on NBC Tuesday night, and judging from the latest preview that we’ve got on the subject, there is a reason to worry … but not exclusively about the patient at the heart of the episode.

Is Dr. Reese starting to spiral? Chicago Med season 3 episode 6 will show the aftermath of this past episode, which featured the character buying pepper spray after feeling unsafe at the hospital. For now, there is reason to worry about her future.

Judging from her reactions in this new sneak peek (via TV Guide), it’s pretty darn clear that Dr. Reese is still struggling in the aftermath of the incident this past episode. Dr. Charles deliberately keeps the restrains on a new patient after seeing the concern in her eyes; this is someone exhibiting some dangerous behavior as he comes into the hospital thrashing around and struggling. There’s obviously something deeper going on here and it’s the job of Dr. Charles and Reese in order to help him. Of course, the problem for Dr. Reese is that she also does need to simultaneously figure out a way in order to help herself. She’s someone who should know better than anyone the value in making sure that she uses her voice and communicating feelings to others. Unfortunately, she is clamming up instead.

The larger thing to worry about within this episode for Reese is that at the end of the hour, someone is going to be suspended — given the current state of events for her, it’s easiest to assume that the person temporarily leaving the hospital is her.

As for everything else we see within this Chicago Med sneak peek, the biggest takeaway that we have for now is probably that we’re happy to see Dr. Halstead doing well after he had some temporary issues with paralysis on this past episode. This came about as a result of a tick from Australia hopping off of a patient and onto him. It was a scary moment, but luckily for Will it also wasn’t one that was permanent.
