MacGyver season 2 episode 14 spoilers: Amy Smart to guest star
Who is Amy Smart playing on MacGyver season 2 episode 14? We’re happy to have a little bit more insight on that. She’s someone who is tied to Jack Dalton in a very odd way — she’s posing as a significant other to one of his former alter egos.

“Mardi Gras Beads + Chair” – When the team heads to New Orleans to track down the con artist (Amy Smart) who is posing as the wife of “Duke Jacoby,” one of Jack’s old CIA aliases, Jack finds himself in jeopardy when “Duke’s” old enemies resurface looking for revenge, on MACGYVER, Friday, Jan. 19 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Garrett Morris guest stars as Willy, Jack’s former confidential informant in New Orleans.

Smart (whose credits include Justified, Shameless, and Robot Chicken) joins a guest-cast contingent that includes the aforementioned Tisdale, the original Dalton in Bruce McGill, the always-awesome David Dastmalchian as Murdoc, and then Garrett Morris, who is also appearing in this episode. This should be an especially fun episode just because we’re getting to dive into some Jack backstory. He’s one of the show’s most-colorful characters and George Eads always seems to have a blast playing the guy. One of the things we’re also somewhat curious about is whether or not it turns out that there is some sort of romantic connection between Jack and Smart’s character — he’s the sort of guy who we’d like to see find love at some point in the series, though we’re not altogether sure as to when or how it could end up happening. Part of the fun here is going to be learning a thing or two about who would be the right person to capture his heart … other than that casino owner earlier this season, which was hysterical.
We’ll see what happens in the Big Easy when this MacGyver episode comes on CBS a little bit later this month.
