This Is Us season 2 episode 11 sneak peek: Pearson family vacation
Who doesn’t want to see a Pearson family vacation? That is going to be a big part of Tuesday night’s new episode, as you will see Jack decide to get everyone out for some family time … and in rather unexpected fashion.
Basically, you can consider this sneak preview (via TVLine) another example of Jack the idyllic father. He’s the guy who is constantly thinking of ways for his entire family to have fun and make memories with one another. Can he be a bit impulsive at times, even to the point of being frustrating to some people close to him? Sure, but part of the beauty of the series is this: This is a trait that you miss about someone when they are gone. You love them because they’re constantly thinking of ways to spend time with you.
This Pearson family vacation is important for the sake of showing what the bond between the entire family was, and it’s the perfect time to transpose that against what the Pearson family is in the present. As you get more into the present-day stories for the family, you are going to discover just how they are struggling to come together during Kevin’s attempts to get better. Their relationships are going to be tested as there are some old demons unearthed. Given that Kate and Randall have their own stuff that they are going through, we’d absolutely understand if they had a hard time focusing just on Kevin. They may want to, but it’s challenging. A number of things about life are since it’s hard to set aside so much of your own baggage.

This episode will set the foundation for the Pearsons’ future; it is up to the remainder of the season to know if they live up to it.
