Agents of SHIELD season 5 episode 7 preview: Good news, meet bad news

Agents of SHIELD season 5 episode 7 can be best described in one simple fashion: It was the best of times for Coulson and the rest of the crew, but it was also certainly the worst of times. Right when things are starting to get a little bit better for them, something comes that completely ruins any chance they had to breathe. We saw this at the end of season 4 after the showdown against Aida, and we are certainly about to see it play out again.

The first thing we love about Agents of SHIELD season 5 episode 7 is the title: “Together or Not at All.” It reminds us of The Three Musketeers and there’s nothing that we enjoy more than getting some reminders of the book and some of the great TV/film adaptations over times. In a way, SHIELD really is a larger version of that group — they care about each other, they’ll do anything to help each other, and every now and then they do get a chance to have a little bit of fun. That just doesn’t seem to be coming up next week.

This episode is obviously going to be epic in terms of there being a very real, very prominent threat that the team has to collectively take on. Maybe there will be some happy moments with the team reuniting in the midst of that, but most of them are probably going to be rather short-lived.

For those of you who do love Agents of SHIELD when they are action-packed, you’re probably going to love this one. Rest assured that if you do still love some of the smaller, more intimate installments of the show, there is probably some content coming up that you’re also going to love.
