Blue Bloods season 8 episode 11 sneak peek: Is Frank fighting with Erin?

Are you excited to see Blue Bloods season 8 episode 11 on CBS Friday night? This is going to be an interesting episode in which Frank finds himself with his back up against the wall alongside his team.

The biggest problem that he’s facing here may have some moral and ethical implications, but there is something beyond just this that pains him about this whole situation — it’s the notion of having to speak out against an initiative led in part by his own daughter. The D.A.’s office is trying to spearhead a new initiative in the midst of the war on drugs, one in which they consider a disease first and a crime second. Frank, unfortunately, finds himself in a position where he has to speak out against that. Finding the right way in which to treat drug offenders is a tough topic in this country, and with the news about Jeff Sessions coming out this week this is probably an issue in the headlines now more so than it’s been in a rather long time. Frank has to figure out a way in which to pick a side without alienating the other side. He knows that for some, mandatory minimums are too high and that there could be a better way than to fill up prisons with non-violet drug offenders. Preaching rehabilitation over jail time may be a way to change that.

Yet, at the same time it’s hard for the police to take something that could be construed as a weak stance on law and order. Even if that opinion is not true, the NYPD knows that for some, perception is reality. They have to be prepared for that.

The real hope at the heart of this episode is that Frank and Erin eventually meet up with each other and have some sort of heart to heart as a means to work through some of the issues that they are clearly facing with one another. While there may be mutual frustration, they are family and there’s a good chance they will be able to separate life from work.
