The Lucifer season 3 flashback episode is almost here (video)
The video below is a new 20-second look at Monday’s installment, which is going to kick off the future (2018) by looking back on the past. Think in terms when Lucifer first came to Los Angeles prior to the events of the pilot. What was that experience like for him, and how did he become accustomed to being a part of this world? This is an exciting episode mostly in that it could bring some new and exciting dimensions to the show that we haven’t quite seen before. There’s a more uninhibited Lucifer, for one — we like to think that Chloe Decker and others over time have rubbed off on him, and as a result of that he’s a man who feels as though he’s got a little more of a heart. The Lucifer in this episode is going to be as devilish as ever, hitting on every little thing that moves and causing all sorts of trouble.
One of the things to remember about this episode is that the chronology of it will of course seem off. There’s no mention of Cain coming since this episode was filmed back before Tom Welling was even cast on the show — it was put in the bank at the end of season 2 production, which is also ironic in the sense that this journey through Los Angeles for Lucifer was not actually filming in Los Angeles. This is back when the show was filming in Vancouver.
For those of you wondering, Lucifer will pick up the story of Cain and the aftermath there a little bit later in January. We know not everyone will be able to watch the show on January 1, but for those who do, we imagine that this should serve as a rather-nice gift.
