The Bachelor spotlight: Meet Lauren Burnham, one of many Laurens

Remember when The Bachelor during Ben Higgins’ season had a ton of people named Lauren on it? Well, apparently someone in casting really loves that name given that it’s everywhere all over again on Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s season. There are multiple people all with the name of Lauren, and that includes today Lauren Burnham. She’s originally from Virginia Beach (though she now lives in Dallas), and by all measures she seems like one of the most normal people who is a part of the season. We haven’t been able to find any evidence that she’s out to promote some sort of lifestyle brand or land a career in entertainment.

There isn’t actually all that much to gleam from this Lauren B.’s (as opposed to the other famous Lauren B. — Lauren Bushnell) ABC bio, save for the fact that she loves Taylor Swift and Elsa from Frozen. Oh, and did we mention that she has a second degree black belt? Okay, this is by far the thing that is the most interesting about Lauren. If for whatever reason there is some sort of karate group date on this season, be sure to pencil her in.

If you head over to her Instagram you can see what are a series of fairly normal photos, at least for a contestant competing on this show. Nothing strikes us as highly unusual, but we like to think of that as a good sign by and large with this series. If you’re someone there for strictly fame, that has a tendency to come out on the show itself.

What are her chances with Arie Luyendyk Jr.? – Lauren seems like a fairly solid contender in that she doesn’t strike us as someone who is going to make waves — hey, there’s also a very good history of people named Lauren B. on the show! Expect to see her stick around for a while. She seems like one of those people who was cast to be a genuine contender as opposed to someone there to just make waves or be comic relief.
