SEAL Team episode 10 promo: What if the intel fails you?
As previously reported, this is an episode that will take place within real time and the promo helps to bring all of that home. It shows why this device is so important to tell this story. The mission in this episode starts off about as normal as a mission for SEALs can get — they have found their target, and are there in order to properly take down a dangerous terrorist. Yet, upon entering the home it starts to become clear to Jason that something is off about the place. It appears a little too normal, the man living in the house proclaims to not be a Jihadist, and the man’s daughter ends up bleeding out on a table after being accidentally shot.
If it does turn out that the intel was wrong and the SEAL Team went into the wrong house, all of a sudden this mission changes dramatically. Jason and the team have to figure out a way to correct many of their wrongs, save a life, and then also figure out their next course of action. If they were ready to strike when the iron was hot against another terrorist, it’s very well possible that they have missed that opportunity. We’ve seen the team tested before, but not so much in this situation where there is an innocent girl dying who did absolutely nothing wrong. If she dies, this is the sort of death that could hang over them.
Being a part of an elite military squad forces you to deal constantly with life-or-death situations; yet, the power of this episode may come from seeing what happens when a situation is so close that you can’t turn off that part of your brain. The comment made, after all, is that the young girl reminds Jason of his daughter.
