SEAL Team episode 10 spoilers: A story in real time

SEAL Team premiere ratings

Is SEAL Team new tonight on CBS? Unfortunately, it’s not, but to help to make up for it, CarterMatt has some news on what’s coming up next!

When the David Boreanaz series returns on Wednesday, January 3, it is going to be doing so with an installment entitled “Pattern of Life.” It’s a chance for the writers to do something a little bit different, and it’s something that we often don’t see shows do until far later on in their runs — it’s going to be playing around with the format a little bit. You’ll get a chance to see a story take place in real time! That’s going to make every element of the case feel a lot more intense and for a show that already has some pretty intense content, we are stoke to see how they are going to raise the bar.

For a little more news on that, be sure to check out the SEAL Team episode 10 synopsis below:

“Pattern of Life” – Tensions are high when Jason and the SEAL Team enter a Yemeni house to locate a cell phone linked to a terrorist network, and interrogate the family while the daughter lays in critical condition after being accidentally shot, on SEAL TEAM, Wednesday, Jan. 3 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The episode takes place in real time.

This is an episode that we are really excited to see and we think that in terms of the content, it certainly feels like viewers are going to be in for a treat –the change in format is what we are looking forward to the most. If a show is willing to take on a real-time risk this early in its run, that tells us that the producers are feeling confident about the quality of their product. We want to watch a show that has this kind of guts and trust in their viewers to be along for the ride.

Of course, we do also hope that “Pattern of Life” does convince more viewers to watch SEAL Team along the way. The show has a full-season order at CBS but, if we were the writers, we wouldn’t settle for just that. This is a risk that could help the show get a season 2 and get people talking. If you haven’t had a chance to check this show out, we highly recommend it.
