Chicago Med season 3 episode 7 spoilers: Is Connor’s relationship on the rocks?

Going into Chicago Med season 3 episode 7, there is a reason to worry about Robyn Charles. Mekia Cox is now a regular over on Once Upon a Time and from the minute that promotion was announced, it started to become clear that the writers were gtoing to need to figure out something to do with her character here. That, in turn, of course means bad things for Robyn’s relationship with Connor Rhodes.

After everything that these two characters have been through, especially when it comes to her treatment and her recovery from it, you of course want to root for them to make it through almost anything. Unfortunately, some of the first details from Chicago Med season 3 episode 7 (entitled “Over Troubled Water”) suggest that more drama is on the way. With that, CarterMatt has the attached synopsis below:

DR. CHARLES IS FACED WITH A TOUGH DECISION WHEN A PATIENT GIVES BIRTH TO A BABY THAT IS ADDICTED TO HEROIN – Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt) feels pressure when Dr. Choi (Brian Tee) and Dr. Manning (Torrey DeVitto) criticize his medical decision regarding an ill newborn baby. Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell) comes to terms with his relationship issues. Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) helps Bert (guest star Greg Williams) understand Lyla’s (guest star Garcelle Beauvais) sickness. Marlyne Barrett, Yaya DaCosta, Nick Gehlfuss, Rachel DiPillo and Norma Kuhling also star. Joe Minoso and Eddie Jemison guest star.

If Connor and Robyn go their separate ways, that does in turn open the door for a wide array of different relationship possibilities. Maybe some of those will be explored this season, but it would also be interesting to have one of the doctors in Chicago Med explore life as a single man. After all, across the board there are so many other relationships and it would be interesting to almost have a fun crossover story where Rhodes, Severide, and Atwater — three of One Chicago’s most-eligible dudes — suddenly hit the town together. That is, of course, provided that Robyn and Connor split as opposed to her departing and the two trying to make a long-distance relationship work.

As for everything else happening within this episode, it absolutely does seem like you’re in store for some very meaty subject matter when it comes to everyone from Dr. Charles to Dr. Manning and Dr. Choi.
