Knightfall episode 5 preview: Wedding planning on the brink of war

Knightfall episode 6

Moving into Knightfall episode 5 airing on History in just one week’s time, it appears as though we are on the horizon of war and significant bloodshed.

There’s probably no worse time at all for a wedding, but this is where we are at the moment — with a wedding between Luis and Isabella on the horizon that may have pretty high odds of being painted in red a la Game of Thrones. She’s not nearly as high on the idea of marriage as she once was — her idea of love is tainted, and the same goes for her perception of her suitor. She was just humiliated and she’s looking towards her uncle for help. As for whether or not she gets it, that’s just something you will have to watch in order to learn.

Beyond all of this, you also cannot forget the possibility of war on the horizon with England. The horse head at the end of episode 4 (read our full take on that here) seems to be a pretty firm indicator that there are some horrible things potentially ahead. The court and the Knights Templar have to be prepared for the worst.

Below, CarterMatt has for you the full Knightfall episode 5 synopsis:

Tensions are high during Isabella’s wedding preparations, and fearing an attack, King Philip asks Landry and the Knights Templar for their help in protecting the palace…

This is going to be a very important episode, regardless of what happens, in establishing the endgame for this season. Beyond that, it’s going to be crucial in bringing some of the different worlds of the show tonight. If you were to offer up a critique for Wednesday’s episode 4 you can say that we almost lived in too much disparate worlds; the storylines were fascinating, but they did not exactly connect. This should bring most of the cast into the same place.

What do you think is going to be coming on Knightfall episode 5? Do you think that we’re actually going to get to the wedding in this episode or is that somewhere down the road in your mind? Be sure to share in the comments below right now!
