Is Bachelor Winter Games filming already complete?

Arie Luyendyk Jr.Is Bachelor Winter Games filming already complete, just a little more than a week after filming first started?

Based on some of the evidence that we’ve got below, that certainly does seem to be the case. Per the franchise’s official Twitter the end of Bachelor Winter Games — or at least the final event — took place at a rink in Vermont on Friday. It does make sense for filming to conclude before it gets too close to the holidays, but you should also consider this another reminder that this is not going to be some sort of drawn-out serious show. At most, we’re getting a small handful of episodes wedged in over a few nights during the Winter Olympics.

Out of all the winter programming coming up Bachelor Winter Games may actually still be the biggest mystery. What we know at present is strictly this: There are contestants taking part from all over the world and there’s meant to be both an athletic and romantic component to it. We certainly think that the producers are hopeful that someone is going to find love through the process but we don’t know how optimistic they can be when filming is only going on for barely over a week. Granted, it’s not like Bachelor in Paradise filming lasts for a long time or anything, but typically with that show you at least have a chance to spend almost every waking second of the day with someone. Here, it feels more like there are other things going on. At most, maybe you’ll get a few flings that take place during this.

You almost have to consider Bachelor Winter Games a trial run for something bigger down the road. Maybe if there is something about this that works we’ll see it come back in two years as Bachelor Summer Games. It’s already proven that there’s clearly enough room for three different editions of the franchise, so why not four? Clearly someone over at ABC thinks it’s possible and we’re not going to be the one at this point to doubt them. We didn’t think Bachelor Winter Games filming would be done for a few more days — yet, here we are.
