The Bachelor spotlight: Ashley Luebke, real estate agent

What does Ashley Luebke have that is appealing on The Bachelor? For starters, she has one big thing in common with star Arie Luyendyk Jr. — her job! No, Ashley is not an IndyCar driver; she is a real estate agent, which just so happens to be the same thing Arie actually is at this point in his life. It’s just easier to market him for his racing career since it’s flashy and different.

Let’s keep the focus here on Ashley, though, since she seems precisely tailor-made for the franchise — she’s 25, from Florida (there are a lot of former contestants from Florida these days), and she already has an Instagram account advertising her part in the show this season. She’s going to be a good ambassador for the show and will probably post all about it on social media during the season.

As for what else is notable about her, her ABC bio notes that she hates to do laundry (who likes laundry, honestly?) and one of her favorite movies is The Family Stone, an ensemble film we only remember because it was around the time we actually watched movies with some degree of regularity. Most of her bio answers were short, which typically means to us that she really didn’t care all that much about doing it. Either she was 100% confident that she was going to make it on the show without the bio or she didn’t really care all that much in the first place.

Ashley also claims that she can’t live without Spotify, which is mostly interesting in that we haven’t listened to a single second of Spotify in our entire lives.

What are her chances with Arie Luyendyk Jr.? – She’s got a reasonable shot of sticking around for several weeks just because she’s probably going to be fairly interesting and notable on the show. Yet, we don’t see her being the pick at the end of the season. She’s a little reminiscent of some of the people like Alexis Waters (sans the dolphin costume) or Astrid Loch who make it several episodes and are in contention to appear on Bachelor in Paradise a little bit later down the line.
