NCIS: Los Angeles season 9 episode 11 video: Who’s a grinch?
Based on the new sneak peek below courtesy of CBS, that person is none other than Shay Mosley. She may be very good at her job, but she doesn’t exactly bring a whole lot to the table when it comes to enjoying the most wonderful time of the year. Eric and Nell, meanwhile, love celebrating the holidays and will do everything they can to make things merry and bright … even including decorating a cactus. After making this the most cheery cactus on the planet they think that once Mosley sees it, she will be so floored that it won’t matter that she doesn’t typically like Christmas. They ignore the warnings of one Agent Hidoko and work on making it festive.
We feel like by the end of this sneak peek Hidoko learns a valuable lesson — Nell and Eric will throw her under the bus if it means protecting their own hide and/or making sure that they don’t get in any trouble for their impromptu Christmas celebration. When they hear Mosley coming they bail on the plan, leaving Harley behind with just a few Christmas decorations.
We’re going to take the photo above as some evidence that eventually Mosley comes around and realizes that there is nothing wrong with celebrating the holidays – or at least won’t take away toe joy from others on the team.
A more forlorn Christmas
As funny as this particular scene is, don’t expect the remainder of NCIS: Los Angeles this week to be anywhere near this silly. After all at one other point in the episode you will see Sam doing everything that he can to ring in the holiday season with his family; the problem is that with his wife Michelle no longer with him, he will be buried under some memories of the past. This is the sort of thing that will make him reflective, and it could fall on some other members of the team to infuse him with a little bit of holiday cheer.
After this NCIS: Los Angeles episode you better be prepared for a break — but, don’t worry too much as new episodes will resume in the new year.
