NCIS: Los Angeles season 9: Is Hetty leaving Vietnam?
As reported recently by Entertainment Weekly, there is an upcoming episode coming your way in March entitled “Goodbye Vietnam,” one that also just so happens to be the installment featuring the return of Ashley Spiller as Nell’s sister Sydney. Basically, what this means is that you don’t have to wait until the end of the season in order to see Hetty potentially-reunited with the remainder of the team waiting for her back in Los Angeles. The story will likely build to this attempt at a rescue in the weeks before, but given the team’s affection for Hetty and what she brings to the table we imagine that there’s going to be so much drama and fairly high stakes when this episode airs. She means a lot to the entire team (as well as to all the fans!) and her leadership is sorely missed.
Granted, we can’t say for certain that Hetty makes it back — we just hope that she does!
If she does make it back, that is probably far from the end of the struggles for Linda Hunt’s character. When you go through something that is this harrowing you have to imagine that there is a certain degree of trauma that comes along with it. The one thing that she does have is the support of everyone on her team, given that all of them have gone through their own fair share of tough times. Heck, this season alone we’ve seen many of them in near-death situations and Kensi knows a thing or two about being held captive based on what happened to her last season. WE suspect that they will all work together to help Hetty settle in the best they can.
CarterMatt is ready to see the entire NCIS: Los Angeles gang back together. The only reason for the wait is probably tied to many hiatuses that will be coming in the month of February since no one wants to air new episodes of their shows against the winter Olympics. that’s just a ratings death trap.
