Hawaii Five-0 season 8 spoilers: Vincent Pastore paying Danny’s ‘uncle’
Per a new report coming in via Deadline, Vincent Patore of The Sopranos fame is going to be appearing across multiple episodes of the show in the role of Vito. He is Danny’s “uncle” from New Jersey. (Does this mean that he is actually his uncle, hence the quotes? That seems doubtful.) Anyway, Vito is a guy who was around Danny while he was growing up, and for a long time Danny apparently thought he was connected to the mob. That may not actually be the case, but Vito is one of those well-connected guys who “knows a guy” anytime that a problem comes up.
So why in the world is this guy coming aboard the CBS series in the new year? Well, it just so turns out that Vito is a contractor and jack-of-all-trades who can fix many different problems. Danny’s going to bring him out to the islands to help get his restaurant dream off the ground — he’s absolutely going to need a little bit of help with that. Unfortunately, there’s a good chance that Steve may not approve of all of Vito’s methods for helping, which could in turn lead to some more Steve / Danny arguments. That’s clearly a foundation for the show, as if you did not know already.
Hawaii Five-0 is getting close to the midway point of the season, and with that we know that there are a lot of big stories that are going to be coming up. It’s still not entirely clear if we’re going to get a chance to see Danny and Steve’s restaurant ever come to fruition, but the planning process will probably be fun every step of the way regardless. (There’s a part of us still holding out for McDanno’s Bar & Grill as the name.) The whole idea of this story is to give the two guys something fun to do that is separate from their work.
