NCIS season 15 spoilers: Gabrielle Carteris set to appear
As first reported by TVLine, the actress will appear in an upcoming January episode entitled “Family Ties,” one that (unfortunately) doesn’t seem to be about a great sitcom starring Michael J. Fox. Instead, it will be about an investigation into a crime witnessed by a high school student. Carteris is going to be playing the mother of this said student in Julie. She’s described as being well-intentioned — she has a “huge heart” and will do anything that she can in order to protect her daughter. That’s an admirable trait, but judging on how it’s described in this notice it could end up being a key component in a huge twist for this episode.
We’re always down for getting more TV veterans on NCIS, and we also will especially appreciate the opportunity to see Carteris in what should hopefully be a dramatic, twist-filled episode that has us thinking throughout!
Following last night’s episode “Double Down” (read our full review over at the link here) NCIS will return with new episodes on Tuesday, January 2. The current plan is for CBS to air a run of new installments throughout the month of January before taking a break for the Winter Olympics. After that, we presume more episodes will air in March. It’s a somewhat-unorthodox airing pattern for NCIS but don’t worry — you are still getting more of the show you love.
NCIS remains CBS’ most-watched show and there’s a significant incentive for any guest star do want to be a part of it — it offers up great exposure for some other projects and guest stars often get some of the meatiest material performance-wise. After all if you are appearing on this show, there’s a reasonably good chance that you are either playing a murder suspect or someone related to a victim. That means a lot of big emotional scenes. Carteris’ role is somewhat of an anomaly on the surface … we’ll see if it remains that way when the episode ends up coming on the air.
