SWAT episode 7 spoilers: Hondo’s personal story

SWAT episode 2

For those interested in getting to see a more personal side of Hondo, SWAT episode 7 looks to fit the bill. The title for this episode is “Homecoming” and judging from some of the first story details that are out there, it feels like the main crux of this story is going to be seeing if Shemar Moore’s character can fulfill a wish handed down by a longtime friend. It’s a risk that he’s taking that shakes up the character somewhat from the man we’ve come to know over these past several weeks. All of a sudden, we’re looking at someone personally motivated, while taking on the vast challenge that is stopping gang violence from spreading. He obviously wants to stop all crime but this is different. This is personal and powerful.

For more news, CarterMatt has for you the SWAT episode 7 synopsis below:

“Homecoming” – When Hondo’s imprisoned childhood friend asks him to protect his son from gang violence, the favor brings SWAT into contact with a new local crime outfit. Also, when Luca’s grandfather, a SWAT legend, passes away, he struggles with his grief and a painful family secret, on S.W.A.T., Thursday, Dec. 14 (10:00-11:00, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

For those who are wondering, SWAT episode 7 is not the final episode of the year — there is another one coming on Thursday, December 21. The reason for that is fairly simple: CBS realizes that they need to get a lot of episodes on the air in a short period of time. They recently extended the order of SWAT season 1 beyond their already-extended 20 episodes, so with that there really is no time to lose getting some of these out on the air.

Hopefully, this episode will extend the mythology of the show and help us to understand many of the characters more than we do. Based on what we’re hearing about them right now, it seems as though the show will be successful in this plan. Fingers crossed that it actually pans out.
