Outlander season 3 episode 13 (finale) spoilers: Claire, Geillis Duncan face off
Geillis is one of the show’s best villains, especially since she’s so convinced that her actions seem to be right and just. She’s a complex woman and not someone whose motives are often easily calculated. Claire knows now that she has Young Ian, but how do you get him back? She may only have a limited amount of time to do that, and she’s not going to have the assistance of Jamie — unless Lord John Grey can find a way to bring him back from the clutches of Captain Leonard he’s gone for now.

Claire is forced to play a game of cat and mouse with an old adversary as she searches for Young Ian. The Frasers race through the jungles of Jamaica to prevent the unthinkable.
Based on the promo below, (coupled with what we saw on the show tonight) you can start to see the pieces coming together. Geillis seems intent on using Young Ian in order to fulfill what she believes to be a necessary act: Unlocking a way in which to travel through time again. There’s apparently another way to do so on the island, and with all of the talk tonight about a “200-year old baby” you have to think that Brianna is in danger. Given Geillis’ tendency to dabble in sorcery and other dark arts, the last thing Claire would want is her getting anywhere near her daughter.
The Outlander finale looks dark, moody, haunting, and certainly creepy. It’s going to be all sorts of epic and yet another reminder as to just how far season 3 has come. Remember where we were in the premiere? That really does seem like ages ago at the moment.
