The Game of Thrones final season hype is on another level via Jason Momoa

Game of Thrones final season

Just in case you didn’t think that the Game of Thrones final season hype was extreme enough, here comes Jasom Momoa to kick it up a notch.

The former series star, (who will probably always be known to some as Khal Drogo even after playing Aquaman), recently paid a visit to the show’s set in Northern Ireland. It’s not entirely clear just how much he knows about the story or even the scenes being filmed, but there’s one thing he seems sure of: It’s going to melt your face off and leave it in a pool of awesomeness. Just take a look at some of what he had to say on the subject to Entertainment Weekly:

“Just knowing how amazing this season is going to be [is exciting] … It’s going to be the greatest thing that’s ever aired on TV. It’s going to be unbelievable. It’s going to f— up a lot of people. And it was a bummer because I’m a huge fan and I didn’t want to know what’s going on. I was like, ‘D–n, I didn’t want to know that!”

The first reaction that we have to reading all of this is that if we ever want to hire someone to hype up something, Jason Momoa is officially the guy! We’re now about ten times more excited for the final season than we were before seeing this quote. As for whether or not it can really be “the greatest thing that’s ever aired on TV” … that’s a lot to live up to. We can already predict that a good 33-50% of the Game of Thrones fandom will find something to complain about in regards to the finale and spend the better part of the next year complaining about it on social media. That’s typically how every finale goes, no matter how good it really is.

In Jason Momoa we trust. Even if it falls short of his personal expectation it’s still going to probably be epic, violent, shocking, and give you a real sense of finality. We do think that there hasn’t been anything on TV ever quite like it in terms of both size and scale.
