NCIS: Los Angeles season 9 episode 10 is going to be coming to CBS next month, and this one could be one of the deadlier ones this season. After all, the entire focus of it is trying to stop a deadly assassin. It’s one of the more mysterious installments that we’ve seen so far this season, with only the synopsis that CarterMatt has for you (below) and a rather nondescript photo (above) to go on:
“Forasteira” – The NCIS team tracks a highly skilled assailant determined to avenge her father’s death by killing a Brazilian diplomat, on NCIS: LOS ANGELES, Sunday, Dec. 10 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
For those of you out there wanting an episode-title translation, a “Forasteira” is the feminine form of “foreigner” in Portuguese. Given what we’ve just spelled out, this title shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. It’s obviously a reference to the either the assassin herself or her perception of someone else. The question for the team is how to stop her before she does anything unspeakable on American soil. (Our assumption, at least for now, is that the episode takes place within America — there wouldn’t be enough of a logical reason in order for this to happen otherwise.
Beyond the synopsis/this photo, there are a couple of interesting things about this episode to consider. For one, we are going to get another appearance from Andrea Bordeaux as Harley Hidoko, which raises the question as to how long the one-two punch of she and Nia Long (Shay Mosley) are going to be driving forces around the team? Will it be for the rest of the season? We have not heard anything official about Hetty’s return, and even if she does she may fall right into having to take orders from Mosley.
One other thing worth noting is that this episode is not the final one of the calendar year: NCIS: Los Angeles season 9 episode 11, airing on December 17, holds that honor. It will be the Christmas episode, something that has become a rather-welcome tradition within the NCIS world for a wide array of different reasons. Most notably, these shows provide comfort, despite all of the action and craziness, for many people out there watching them. There is something rather fun about getting to see familiar faces and characters celebrate the holidays year after year as their lives change.
