Timeless season 2 – Michael Rady casting: Jane the Virgin, UnREAL alum recurring

Michael Rady

Some of your first Timeless season 2 casting news is coming in, and this is exciting for those of you who are fans of Michael Rady.

Per TVLine, the actor (who has appeared in a wide array of shows including Jane the Virgin, UnREAL, and Emily Owens MD) is going to appear across multiple episodes of the second season as a World War I soldier by the name of Nicholas Keynes. After he finds himself injured during a battle, Keynes gets some surprising assistance from the likes of Emma (Annie Wersching) and Carol (Susanna Thompson). Do these two have a larger plan for the character? It’s something that does make you wonder.

Remember that at the end of the first season we watched Carol make a startling/disarming admission that much of what we’d learned about her to date had been a lie of the worst kind — she was actually a member of Rittenhouse, the mysterious organization that seems to have tentacles throughout history. While Lucy Preston and the rest of the Time Team may have tried to save history, they weren’t entirely successful thanks to some double-agents in their mix.

Now that we’re looking forward, the question we wonder about Nicholas Keynes is pretty clear: Why him? What makes him so special? While we do frequently travel back into the past on this show it’s very rare that we do so in a way where we see people from the same era more than once. We also wonder if this is a character who could move forward into the future, given that this would be another interesting innovation for the series. For all of the time-travel that this show often does, they really don’t make too much movement when it comes to taking any character and putting them in the future.

Now, the waiting…

As excited as you may be about this role, you do still have to face the unfortunate reality that Timeless season 2 is not coming on the air for a long time. New episodes should start up again by around the time we make it to either the late spring or the summer — personally it’s not too big of a deal when it airs, provided that it gets a time-slot that will actually offer it up a good chance to shine and get consistent viewers. We’re definitely looking forward to handing out some more of the latest scoop as we get closer.
