Chicago Med season 3 episode 3 spoilers: Will Goodwin change the hospital?

Is Chicago Med season 3 episode 3 going to mirror some of the story of Chicago PD this season? In one regard, that seems to be the case. Over on Chicago PD this season we’re seeing a storyline play out where reform is at the center of it — times have changed in America, and as a result of that Hank Voight and Intelligence have to realize that, (for better or worse) they may need to make some changes of their own.

Meanwhile, with Chicago Med we’re going to be seeing some challenges, as well. The difference here is that it seems to be due to financial issues at the hospital rather than any sort of rule violations or ethical concerns. 12/05/2017 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Tuesday) : PRESSURE FROM THE HOSPITAL BOARD FORCES GOODWIN TO MAKE CHANGES AT MED – When Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) receives financial complaints from the hospital board, she is forced to implement new guidelines that cause headaches for the doctors. Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell) and Ava (Norma Kuhling) continue to compete in the operating room, while Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt) and Dr. Reese (Rachel DiPillo) are surprised when they treat a man who has a peculiar theory about his sickness. Dr. Manning (Torrey DeVitto) and Dr. Choi (Brain Tee) can’t figure out what is wrong with a young girl, leading them to look to a questionable source for answers. Marlyne Barrett, Yaya DaCosta and Nick Gehlfuss also star. Ato Essandoh, Eddie Jemison and Roland Buck III guest star.

As exciting as the story sounds here, there is one other super-important thing worth pointing out here — Chicago Med season 3 episode 3 is going to be the biggest challenge for the show this season in terms of getting a good lead-in. This Is Us will be off on its hiatus by the time this episode comes on the air, so it will not have a lead-in anywhere near as good. Remember this if you are a Chi-Hard and you want to ensure that the ratings stay strong for this show. It was considered by the end of season 2 a bubble show and we would like to see it in a little bit of a better position by the time the end of the season rolls around.
