Chicago Med season 3: Cast sets up challenges ahead (video)

Chicago Med season 3 cast

The Chicago Med season 3 premiere is coming to NBC on November 21, so the good news is clearly this: It’s just two weeks from now! You don’t have to wait too much longer to learn the fate of some of these characters.

Consider the new video below (via TVLine) as a way to dive even more into the story that is coming up for some of these characters. You can see the likes of Colin Donnell (Dr. Rhodes), Marlyne Barrett (Maggie), Torrey DeVitto (Dr. Manning), and Brian Tee (Dr. Choi) doing their part to explain what the story of the show is going to be this time around.

Obviously, there is the big cliffhanger regarding Dr. Charles at the end of the second season that needs to be addressed — rest assured that you’ll get some answers on that right away in the premiere episode.

Beyond just that, there is (of course) a lot of romantic situations that need to be addressed. DeVitto in this video hints at some big things coming for Manning and Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss), and there really should be judging from the way that the second season ended for them! Meanwhile, Tee sets up more of a story coming up for Choi and April Sexton, who are coming off of a romantic cliffhanger of their own.

No matter what happens with all of these various couples, the foundation for Chicago Med is going to remain the same — this is a show that consistently balances out these characters with the cases that they take on. It will be dramatic, dynamic and hopeful; not every episode ends with a happy ending, and while we may be rooting for some of these couples to be together, that doesn’t mean that they’ll stay together by the end of the season. There are more than likely going to be some roadblocks that come up along the way — heck, they may not even be together by the end of the premiere! There’s a time jump coming so you can’t just assume that everyone will be a happy couple in the first episode.

Chicago Med is getting a new time slot following This Is Us; CarterMatt definitely thinks that this is significant to the show’s overall longevity and we want to see this show around for a long time to come.
