Lucifer season 3 episode 7 is going to be another episode different from most of the others. Why? It’s focusing on the past! “Off the Record” is going to feature the return of a serial killer who could be a problem for everyone, and it’s also on a meta level very much set in the past. This is one of the episodes that was filmed at the end of season 2 and isn’t really going to feature anything when it comes to the main story. Consider “Off the Record” to be a delightful standalone journey, and a chance to learn a little bit more about the character of Linda.
If you have not seen the Lucifer season 3 episode 7 synopsis CarterMatt has that for you below:
“A reporter seeks revenge after he discovers that Lucifer has been sleeping with his estranged wife. However, when it’s revealed that Linda is the reporter’s estranged wife, things get messy. Lucifer’s reputation and safety are on the line, especially when a serial killer from the past resurfaces in the all-new “Off The Record” episode of LUCIFER airing Monday, Nov. 13 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.”
The funniest part of this synopsis is clearly the part where the words “Lucifer’s reputation” are mentioned as though his reputation is something that he actually strives to maintain. Need we remind you of the episode “Candy Morningstar” or some of the other hijinks that this man has pulled off since the start of the series? He really lives just for the opportunity to do crazy things and we don’t really foresee this slowing down in the future.
For Linda though, we do imagine that he will focus in, steer clear of some of the frivolity, and try to focus more on some of the stuff that matters. She’s become very important in his life, as many other people in Los Angeles have. The Lucifer family has done a great job working to humanize him as someone beyond just a devil.
In the promo below you can see the title character suggesting that what lies ahead will be “fun” — we’re not sure he will feel that way by the end of it.
