Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 7 spoilers: Ian Anthony Dale returns

Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 7

Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 7 is going to finally bring us something that fans have been excited for all season: Ian Anthony Dale’s return.

Before the season even premiered it was confirmed that Dale would be coming back to the show his character of Adam; not only that, but he would be a series regular. It was somewhat of a surprise at the time for two different reasons: He’s a regular on another show (Salvation) and also isn’t going to have his onscreen wife anymore in Grace Park’s Kono. For those of you who are Kono fans there is something exciting here in that Adam is the perfect liaison; through him you can get periodic updates on her. Meanwhile, through him maybe you also have a chance to get a little more closure on her character leaving the show.

So why is Adam coming back at this point? He has a key role to play in an operation that is very specific — he’s not just becoming a part of the Five-0 or doing something that you would expect from a character with a series regular promotion. The Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 7 synopsis CarterMatt has for you below gives you a few more details all about that:

“Kau ka ‘ōnohi ali’i i luna” – Junior and Adam back up McGarrett when a bank heist in progress forces Steve to make a potentially heartbreaking mistake. Also, Adam is forced to face an empty home without Kono, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, Nov. 17 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

(“Kau ka ‘ōnohi ali’i i luna” is Hawaiian for “The Royal Eyes Rest Above”)

How long will Dale be around this season? He should have a good stretch during the middle of the season; yet, the assumption on our end is that he will have to leave at some point for Salvation season 2 filming. That show was recently renewed by CBS and given that both shows do share Peter M. Lenkov as an executive producer it is probably fair to assume that they can work out a schedule for him without too many problems. If nothing else, it’s likely easier than for actors who are in this situation where they’re on shows that are airing on different networks or with a different producer.
