Poldark season 3 episode 6 preview (PBS): Agatha vs. George

Poldark season 3 episode 6

Following tonight’s Poldark episode on PBS and some of the drama you had a chance to witness, we wish we could pass along happy news for some of these characters. Alas, we cannot. Season 3 episode 6 airs next week, and while it may not have the same sort of devastation as the Morwenna wedding sacrifice, there will be devastation nonetheless.

As a jumping-off point for our discussion at CarterMatt today, check out the Poldark season 3 episode 6 synopsis below via PBS:

Whitworth puts Morwenna through the tortures of the damned. Aunt Agatha and George cross swords in their deadliest match yet. Demelza gets an admirer who owes his life to Ross. TV-PG.

There are a number of stories here that should prove to be very memorable, starting of course with Whitworth and Morwenna. It’s going to be terrible for her. She knew that being married to this man would be hell, and as it turns out it is every bit as terrible as she feared. We won’t give too much away here, but there’s a definite reason to be worried about both her health and her future.

As for some of the other storylines you’re going to see we should go ahead and make it clear that Agatha and George’s spat will prove to be both horrible and heartbreaking. She’s a character who often speaks her mind, but there is still an element of restraint she often shows. That will go out the window during this episode.

Finally, let’s turn here to Demelza and her new admirer. Is he an interesting character? Certainly, but we would say that his existence within the world of the show serves as a reflection of Ross and some of his own actions just as much as he does someone who stands out in his own right. If Ross was more present in his marriage and made more of an effort to show Demelza she was appreciated, would things be different?
