The Good Doctor episode 6 spoilers: Shaun takes another risk

The Good Doctor episode 6 is coming your way onto ABC in one week’s time, and once again, Shaun taking risks is a central theme. This shouldn’t come as much of a shock given what we’ve come to learn about this character over the course of the past five episodes. When it comes to the medical profession there’s very little that he can’t do — most of his problems come in the form of everything else.

One thing that do like going into this episode is this: While we typically see Shaun as the one who has a hard time drawing deeply emotional connections, things are going to be little bit different here as it’s Jared who finds himself in this situation with a parent.

“Dr. Shaun Murphy and Dr. Claire Browne devise an experimental procedure that can save the leg and life of a young groom, that is if his bride-to-be and parents can learn to work together. Meanwhile, Jared struggles to emotionally connect with his patient whose scars may prove too deep to overcome.”

Where will this episode bring us in terms of the overall story? Hopefully, we’re going to have some more reasons to be optimistic regarding Shaun’s future in the field; yet, at the same time we do need to see some more struggles here and there. Along the way let’s hope that the ratings stay strong and we continue to be as amped-up for some of the other stories the show has planned. While we thought that The Good Doctor would be a big hit, we had no idea it would be performing as well as it is this early into its run. Let’s just hope now for more of that in the weeks ahead!
