Arrow season 6 spoilers: Charlotte Ross returning
According to a report coming in from TVLine, Ross will reprise her role for what seems to be the midseason finale airing later this year. Donna was already referenced on the show this season, and while her romance with Quentin Lance seems to have fallen off the map, we are glad that she still has some sort of a presence on the show.
Could there be a specific reason for her return at this time? If you believe some of the rumors out there, it’s possible — but that’s all we want to say since we don’t want to get attacked with an army of arrows ourselves.
Arrow has made it somewhat of a priority this season to bring back many characters from the past, having already seen some familiar faces pop up who first made their presence felt in past seasons of the show. In looking beyond that for a moment, you are also going to have a chance to see coming up an appearance from none other than Manu Bennett for two more episodes after he made his presence felt in the premiere. The purpose of all of this is to A) make the Arrow universe fell all the more complete than it does right now and B) allow us some opportunities to learn more about some of these present characters through their past. What makes Donna such an interesting character is that other than her family ties and her capacity for caring, there aren’t too many other things that she has in common with her daughter. They have very different jobs and outlooks on the world, but they come together when it matters the most.
If you consider yourself a Felicity fan, hearing the news about Donna coming back onto the show really should be music to your ears. She brings such an energy and vibe to the show, and we’re excited to see here at CarterMatt how Arrow comes to a head in the midseason finale. After all, with there being no clear Big Bad at the moment it is hard to determine how the rest of the show is going to shake out. There are a few different characters who the should could emphasize, whether it be Richard Dragon, Laurel Lance a.k.a. Black Siren, or the man presumably known as Cayden James played by Michael Emerson. (We’re still waiting for come confirmation that this is, in fact, the role that the former Lost star is taking on.)
