Chicago Fire season 6 episode 6: Is someone being forced out of 51?

Chicago Fire season 6 episode 6

As you start to look at the first details that are out there for Chicago Fire season 6 episode 5 (airing on November 2), there is one major thing to worry about: 51 being split up. They’ve clearly been here before, but it’s a little more painful as the show goes along since you’re separating characters who clearly understand how to work with each other and how to save lives. These are not people you want to separate!

Yet, here we are, and on this particular episode one of the biggest struggles is going to see if there’s a way for Stella Kidd to find her way back into 51 after being separated from much of the rest of the group. Take a look at the synopsis below for a little more insight:

“After heroically saving a mother and newborn baby from a rooftop fire, Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) receives surprising news when she discovers she is being transferred out of the firehouse. Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Casey (Jesse Spencer) believe something is off about the turn of events, prompting them to investigate the situation. Otis (Yuri Sardarov) and Herrmann (David Eigenberg) discuss the possibilities of taking over a rundown bar and Dawson’s frustration with her father, Ramon (Daniel Zacapa), reaches a boiling point.”

The status is Stella is the part of this installment we’re worried about the most just because season 6 to date has shown itself to be a hard one for her. We’ve seen her already lose her place and have to shack up with Severide (one of the latest focuses in our CarterMatt ‘Shiptober series), and we’ve also seen her face some tension with Hope, Severide’s possible new love interest and Sylvie Brett’s old friend. If there is something amiss about Stella being transferred out of 51 we want to think that she is somehow involved, if for no other reason than that we’ve seen her be someone who really wants what she wants whenever she can get it. If she thinks that Stella is a problem it wouldn’t shock us to see her make some sort of crazy move to separate her from Kelly and the rest of the team.

It’s also rather possible, for the record, that this is the latest episode of Chicago Fire season 6 that you see for the calendar year. Because of Thursday Night Football moving to NBC there is going to be a little bit of a hiatus that you end up seeing. This could be it, and there’s going to be a little bit of time in here for us to unwind/anticipate what’s going to be coming up next.
