Chicago Fire season 6 episode 5 (airing on Thursday, October 26) looks very much to be a story of conflict between some different characters. From one vantage point, you are going to have a bit of a throwback with Casey and Severide going at each other in the midst of a rescue. Meanwhile, one of the other storylines could be the end result of weeks of fighting between Hope and Stella Kidd. We’ve already seen Stella be very suspicious of Hope’s intentions, especially when it comes to how much time she’s spending around Stella.
Want more news on Chicago Fire season 6 episode 5, entitled “Devil’s Bargain”? You don’t have to look a whole lot further than the new NBC synopsis for it below:
“Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Severide (Taylor Kinney) find themselves at odds after Casey argues with him over the best way to save a teenager entangled in barbed wire. When Casey looks to Boden (Eamonn Walker) for help smoothing out the situation, he comes to the realization that he will have to fix it himself. Elsewhere, Otis (Yuri Sardarov) tries to convince Casey to participate in the beta test for an expensive piece of new firefighting equipment imported from Japan. Meanwhile, Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Hope (guest star Eloise Mumford) come to blows over a payroll issue and Brett (Kara Killmer) goes on a date with a doctor she meets during an ambo call. Monica Raymund, David Eigenberg, Joe Minoso and Christian Stolte also star.”
One of the questions that has been floated about Hope on the show so far is precisely why she’s spending so much time in the first place and if something happened back in her hometown. When she appeared on this past episode of the show (read our full CarterMatt review of that installment here) she acted as though she wasn’t going to be in the city that much longer. Yet, she’s still here at the time in which this story rolls around so she clearly does have more that she wants to do in the city than she first let on.
Beyond some of these conflicts, Otis will be here to lighten things up! With all of the drama that happens in Firehouse 51 sometimes we don’t know what we would do without him.
