Lethal Weapon season 2 episode 4 spoilers: Chicago Justice alum to guest star

Lethal Weapon season 2 episode 4 will be airing on Fox in a matter of weeks, and it turns out there may be a familiar face on board! Fresh off of her role on Chicago Justice, Monica Barbaro is also going to be appearing on the “Flight Risk” episode of the Fox drama. This is a story that, at least in one way or another, will be connected to air travel. Take a look at the synopsis below for more:

“Murtaugh and Riggs respond to a robbery that took place 20,000 feet in the air. The investigation turns into an ongoing hunt for an unreliable father, with his daughter being their main witness. Meanwhile, Murtaugh faces hostility from his own daughter, Riana, as he tries to connect with her in the all-new “Flight Risk” episode of LETHAL WEAPON airing Tuesday, Oct. 17 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (LET-204)”

It should feel at this point fairly predictable that there could be an airplane-set episode of the show, mostly because this is something that a number of crime series out there do tend to do these days. They see a lot of value in telling these stories just because it’s a very different sort of setting to through some of these characters into, and to go along with that there are plenty of opportunities to create super-intense situations in a combined space.

Ultimately for this episode, it seems that most of the action here is going to be set after the flight as opposed to during it, which makes some sense given that A) Riggs and Murtaugh would have to be on the plane at the time and B) most in-flight storylines are better reserved for medical shows since there are so many different things that could go wrong there.

In getting back to the Monica Barbaro casting…

Fox didn’t give a whole lot away about this appearance in advance, save that she is playing a character named Nora on the show. This appearance comes after one year of being Anna Valdez on the Chicago PD spin-off series; she will still be appearing on Chicago PD later this season to go along with this role. (If you don’t watch Chicago PD, you may be familiar with Barbaro for her role as Yael on the second season of Lifetime’s UnREAL.)

New episodes of Lethal Weapon will continue airing on Tuesday nights, and tomorrow’s episode is going to feature the debut of Michelle Hurd as a new boss! One of the other prominent guest stars coming up this season is pop singer JoJo, who will be appropriately playing a star who finds herself getting roped into a complicated case.
