Fear the Walking Dead season 3 episode 13 video: Alicia, Ofelia’s struggle
In the new sneak peek below you can get a sense of what’s coming during the hour, including what is an intense, dramatic decision that Alicia and Ofelia are going to have to make. If you recall the end of this past episode, Troy’s actions led to a massive zombie invasion at Broke Jaw Ranch. All of the survivors are now hunkered down in the pantry, waiting to assess some of the damage on the outside world. Here, Ofelia seems ready to go back out there and see what remains. This is going to be dangerous for her given that there could still be zombies all over the place, but somebody has to go out and assess the damage eventually. There are only so many supplies in the pantry, and the water shortage at the ranch has been well-documented already. (At the time this group made it down into the bunker, you have to remember that Madison was not back from her “negotiations” at the dam.)
If you love Mercedes Mason and Alycia Debnam-Carey, we’ve noted already that this will be one of their biggest episodes to date. Their performances have elevated the past several weeks as it is; we at CarterMatt do find season 3 stronger than the previous two for many reasons and this is near the top of that list.
Hopefully, the end of this episode features some of these characters finding their way out of this terrible situation and back above ground; at that point, maybe they’ll start to have an opportunity to assess the damage … provided that Troy hasn’t done anything else. There’s really no telling what is happening with this guy now given that he’s responsible in many ways for his brother Jake’s death … which probably is going to make Alicia want to kill him, as well. (Of course with this show the one surviving Otto brother is going to be the crazy one interested in murdering people on a fairly regular basis.) As we continue to near the end of season 3, the crises between characters will more than likely escalate.
